What goes into each of Action, Someday and Reference?

Actions are things you have to get done, with an estimated completion date.

Someday is for things you’d do but haven’t yet decided to.

Reference is for things that you need to keep track of and you aren’t the one responsible for completing them. Things like waiting on feedback from someone else, travel itinerary details or waiting for a call back from your dentist’s office.

Why can you only pick Action, Someday and Reference?

I’ve been refining my system for managing todos for the past 9 years and this is what I’ve landed on as the best system. I manage to capture everything I need in these three buckets. More options means more complexity and a habit that’s harder to keep up over time.

What is the Deep dive section?

A closer look at your history. It’s a heatmap of your completions across the year, counts of what you created and finished over a window you pick, and breakdowns by time of day and by project.

Can I edit or delete a to-do after adding it?

Yes. Open any to-do to edit its text, move it to another project, convert it between categories, or delete it.

What happens to my list if I’m not signed in?

You can start without signing in: click the tick and your list works right away. You get five entries that way. Create a free account to keep going, and the entries you already made come with you.

Will I lose my history if I clear my browser?

No, as long as you’re signed in. Your list is saved to your account, so it comes back when you sign in again. A list you started without an account is held against your browser, so clearing it does lose that list.

What happens to Today’s priorities I don’t finish?

They stay where they are. Nothing clears them overnight, so an unfinished item is still in Today’s priorities tomorrow, until you tick it off or move it out yourself.

How will this product cover its costs?

There is a section called Jeremy’s carve outs, which over time, may include ads.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, in any modern mobile browser, and it adapts to the smaller screen.
